Halle Berry Breakup?

Well readers, rumor has it that the beautiful and talented Halle Berry and her boyfriend/baby daddy have broken up. I really hope this isn't true for the following reasons:

#1: I'm a hopeless romantic and eternal optimist who knows that just because my relationships haven't worked out (so far!!!) some relationships will stand the test of time, dammit!!

#2: There is a beautiful baby girl involved (and another baby rumored to be on thew way!!!) and no matter how much the parents vow to focus on the children, no matter how sincere they are in their efforts to shield the child from the breakup fallout, the child inevitably suffers.

#3: I was hoping Ms. Berry had finally gotten in right this time. I'm exhausted for her!

#4: I'm basically tired of hearing about all these celebrity breakups. Can't we all just get along?

#5: She looked happy and he looked HOT!

But despite my deepest desires for everlasting love between these two, the tabloids and newspapers are convinced that their five year relationship is over so I guess I might as well go on and accept it. Some sources say she broke it off because he was too young and couldn't carry his weight. Some say he broke it off because he simply wanted out. Whatever it is, I hate to tell you that we will probrably never know the truth. That's the thing about relationships- sometimes the people involved are the only ones that ever really know the real deal.

So I'll just wish Ms. Berry the best and not even try to speculate, because it is just a waste of time. I'm sure the details will emerge soon enough.

In the meantime, I can't help but wonder if Halle's announcement a few years back on The Oprah Winfrey Show that she would never marry again had anything to do with this breakup? Some could say it's a good thing she didn't get married after all; she could be filing for divorce right now instead of just going through a breakup. But on a deeper level, maybe her inability to truly commit to marriage due to her past failures, maybe her inability to really let go and trust that two people could live happily in a committed marriage, actually doomed the relationship from the start? How is any endeavor--a realtionship, a career move, etc.-- supposed to succeed if you embark upon it from a place of doubt and lack? Just wondering.
